Since I’ve started using OMMWriter it’s been really difficult for me to write without it. I actually started writing this article while I was at a virtual club in Second Life using the in-world text editor or ‘notecard’ but I just couldn’t bring myself to put anything decent together. Too many distractions. Anyhow…
I can’t believe that we are at the end of yet another year. Time really flies too fast and I’m getting old. Next year I’ll be turning 24. I’m actually glad that the year is almost over since there will be many important changes taking place in the new year and I finally have some time to say “This is it, I’m taking a break, don’t expect me to lift a finger”. Then again, as I am self employed I don’t ever really have time off because there’s always someone out there in need of service or support. I should have been rich by now for all the hours that I put in, yet I have very little to show for it. It just doesn’t make sense. I don’t even want to look at my bank balance anymore.
On the bright side, and as you already know, the Miss Virtual World website is up and running. Working with Frolic Mills is my “big break” in the Second Life Virtual World. Through the Miss Virtual World Organization I will be able to fulfill many of my virtual dreams. I have always wanted to work with the leaders of Second Life beauty, fashion and media and that dream has finally become a reality.
As for the real world, plans for emigration to the United States are still in motion but my boyfriend and I have been getting tired of living with our parents and only seeing each other once a week. Although this is a wise arrangement since we don’t need to worry about buying our own place, stocking up on furniture etc, and then having to worry about storing or selling everything once we leave the country, it’s not been easy nor pleasant to live with family. Don’t get me wrong, I do love my family very much but our lifestyles are just too different. It’s time for my boyfriend and I to make another plan so that we can see each other more often and not have to worry about how we act and what we say around conservative family members. Something really good has happened recently that will turn this situation right around. Nothing is set in stone yet and I don’t want to jinx it by sharing too much here but I really hope that it will all work out as expected. Please send some positive energy in this direction. We should know within the next two days if things are certain and then I’ll definitely be sharing it here with you guys because its really awesome!
I know that I’ve said this many times before but I promise that I will make more effort to update my blog more regularly. I still dream of being able to publish at least one article in each section every day but lately I’ve just been too busy with other things to even think about it. I know that there will be more time for this next year since I’ve planned for everything well ahead of time and here’s hoping for a follow-through.
2011 is going to be a year of great success, I can feel it already! Good riddance to 2010, it was a year of bad business, bullshit economy and self pity. I’m done. Bring on 2011. Now!
