Hi guys. Just a quick update on what’s been happening in my life: I’m proud to say that I’ve completed NaNoWriMo last month and I’m now working on editing my novel so that I can submit it for review and a chance at a publishing deal. I’m also doing some work on my blog redesign project again which I hope to complete before the new year so that I can kick off 2014 with a fresh new layout for y’all to enjoy.
I haven’t been playing many online games lately and I quite miss World of Warcraft, so I’ve decided to buy myself a one month subscription to play WoW over the holidays. I don’t really plan on doing much else, to be honest. Here’s hoping that WoW won’t distract me from any of my other tasks though. I tend to get so involved that I completely forget about everything else while I’m playing WoW. I know, I should be out there celebrating good times with friends. The only problem is that I’m nowhere near any of my friends. I hope that I’ll be able to meet some cool people in Nelspruit and make some new local friends, maybe even a boyfriend. Who knows. I guess we’ll have to wait for the new year to roll around to find out. Unless of course something awesome things happen and I finally make my way over to the United States, like I’ve been wanting to do for the past couple of years.
I’ve skipped online shopping or posting deals for Cyber Monday this year because even though I love fashion, I’m trying really hard not to buy into, nor promote unnecessary commercialism. Yes, it’s possible to love and blog fashion without being a shopping catalogue all the time. Though, I’m probably only saying this now because I cannot always afford to shop all the time. TSK TSK. Who am I kidding. I love shopping!
Speaking of fashion, I’ve been in desperate need of some new shoes and sunglasses so I’ve ordered myself some goodies from ASOS a while ago which arrived last month already but I’ve been too busy working on my novel to even think about blogging it. So, here you go…
I wanted to buy some more stuff this month but with the local post office and customs being so slow I can’t really risk ordering anything until after my move. Looks like I’ll only be shopping again next year, unless I actually find something I want to buy in Nelspruit’s malls but I very much doubt that there would be anything I like. I should probably be more optimistic about what awaits me over there. Maybe it’ll be really awesome. We shall see.
Now if you’ll excuse me; I have some creatures to kill in the World of Warcraft (although I should probably be packing for my move, instead) – thus I shall leave y’all with a motivational message…
Motivational Monday – Optimism
“I have become my own version of an optimist. If I cannot make it through one door, I will go through another door – or I will make a door. Something terrific will come no matter how dark the present.”
– Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941)”
