With my main focus having shifted from finding ways to pass time, to finding ways to improve my life and re-start my business; I’ve been doing a lot of personal development reading lately. From books such as The Master Key System, The Science of Getting Rich, The Secret, and Think and Grow Rich, to films such as The Secret and TV shows such as A Day in The Life; I’ve learnt that in addition to having the right mentality about life, all achievement and success basically comes down to taking responsibility for one’s current situation and finding ways to improve and progress. And that is exactly what a new movie and movement that I’ve stumbled upon aims to teach.

Check out one of the official trailers for A Billion Entrepreneurs – a film about how finding your purpose and being responsible can lead to freedom, security and success in your life…

From their official website, “A Billion Entrepreneurs is a movement with the objective to plant the seed of entrepreneurship into multiple generations and re-define the word, “entrepreneurship” to mean, “Taking responsibility for outcomes,” which ultimately means taking responsibility for one’s life and current situation.

A Billion Entrepreneurs is an inspiring, feature-length documentary film. Follow real-life entrepreneurs as they leave a trail of impact, inspiration, mentorship, and responsibility in their business and personal lives. Adrienne, Brian, Fritzi, Ken (and his two beautiful daughters, Katherine and Isabelle), Pam, Rand, and Rick take us through a fast-paced education on what it’s like to be entrepreneurs in the real world. The purpose is to inspire viewers, while allowing them to understand how accessible and invigorating being an entrepreneur can really be. The goal for the viewer is to be a converted fan to the spirit and contagion of entrepreneurship, regardless of their background.

You can learn more about the movie and movement by visiting the official website or you can support the cause by backing A Million Entrepreneurs, LLC. on indigogo.

Here are some realizations and steps that I have taken towards planting the seed of entrepreneurship in my life:

  1. There is no such thing at “Too late to start over.” As long as I am still breathing; there is still time.
  2. I no longer see my current situation as a problem or a dead-end; but rather, as an opportunity to grow.
  3. I have taken responsibility for my current situation. The only reason why I have not yet reached my goals is because I have been lacking motivation. My determination to succeed has started restoring motivation.
  4. I am changing my lifestyle and routine in order to to actively pursue my dreams.
  5. Any success or failure is that of my own doing. I take full responsibility.

I am really looking forward to following the “A Billion Entrepreneurs” movement, supporting the cause and learning from other Entrepreneurs. Imagine what a great world this would be if we all started taking responsibility for the situations that we find ourselves in, and make an active effort to improve our lives and, in the process, improving the lives of others.
