I’ve been having so much trouble with my mighty mouse scroll ball. Small dirt particles always get stuck in it and then I can’t scroll up or down. I’ve searched far and wide for a solution to this problem but I couldn’t find anything that actually worked. Apple suggested holding it upside down and rubbing the ball with a lint free cloth. I’ve tried this millions of times, no luck! Then some other people suggested actually taking the thing apart (by breaking it then putting it back together with super glue). Someone also suggested slipping a toothpick or pocket knife in between the ball and the casing.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT WET YOUR MOUSE, DO NOT TRY TO TAKE IT APART, DO NOT STICK ANYTHING INTO TO.
It’s not until I tried the following solution (quite an easy and simple one) that it actually worked perfectly again (like new).
FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:
- Take a clean sheet of paper.
- Place it flat on your desk.
- Take your mighty mouse, turn it upside down.
- Rub the ball of the mighty mouse on the paper till you see all the dirt fall out.
Your mouse will now work as new – Enjoy… 🙂
