Pull Down to Refresh
If you’ve been here before, you may have noticed that things have changed a bit. I gave my website a refreshed design and brought back my clothing brand(s), merchandise, and online store, featuring all the products that I have created so far—shipping worldwide. I’ve also updated the layout of all pages, even though the content is pretty much the same.
It looks a bit better now; a bit more “professional,” if you will.
Feel free to explore, tell me what you think of the refreshed design, and please let me know if you come across anything that’s broken or just totally out of place. This refresh is still—very much—a work in progress and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future.
Honestly, I find it much easier to design websites for clients than for myself because a client can tell me what they want and I can deliver. But when it comes to my own website, I want it to be perfect, and it’s never perfect—nothing is ever perfect—so I either work on it forever, postponing a launch indefinitely, waiting to achieve perfection, or I simply give up and just keep using the status quo.
I am my own worst enemy in this regard when it comes to working on creative projects myself, but for a client, it’s easy—unless, of course, they also happen to change their mind about things all the time—but I have recurring fees for that.
This time, I decided, fuck it, I’m just going to launch the refresh and I’ll keep working on it forever while it’s live; otherwise, it’s never going to get launched. So there you go…
DAVIDVENTER.NET now has a clean new look, featuring me, my blog, my music, my services, and my online store. I invite you to explore and provide constructive criticism along the way.
In Other News…
As you can see, even though I’m battling cancer, uncertainty over my future, and trying to relocate to a different country where I will hopefully be able to survive and thrive, I haven’t just been sitting around waiting and doing nothing in the process.
I’m still doing what I can, where I am, using what I have, to the best of my ability, and I’d like to give myself a pat on the back for that. Well done, me! Keep going! I refuse to give up!
Thank you for following my journey!
